Aluminum Adjustable Air Amplifier NOT Anodized, by another manufacturer, after only about a year in service. The plant environment would not be considered extreme or corrosive. For aluminum, pitting is by far the most common type of corrosion. The corrosion generally shows itself as extremely small pits that reach a maximum penetration of a minor fraction of the metal’s thickness.
This pitting and corrosion of un-treated aluminum adversely affects the fine ( .002 inch ) slot orifice used in many of the products such as Air Knives, Air Amplifiers and Air Wipes. Adversely affecting the intended performance and leads to : Increased Air Consumption, un-even air flow/ dead spots and increased noise levels!
